The TLE4271-2G is an OPTIREG™ linear voltage regulator chip. Its main functions are as follows:
• Voltage Regulation：It is a 5-V low-drop fixed-voltage regulator. With an input voltage range from 6.0 V to 42 V (65 V for ≤ 400 ms), it can regulate the output voltage within an accuracy of ±2%. When the input voltage is up to 26 V and the output current is up to 550 mA, it can ensure stable 5 V output.
• Current Limiting：The short-circuit protection feature limits the output current to over 650 mA, safeguarding the chip and other components in the circuit from damage caused by excessive current.
• Power-off Control：The chip can be turned off through the inhibit input, providing convenience for power management and control in the circuit.
• Watchdog Function：The integrated watchdog monitors the connected controller. It checks the working status of the controller by detecting the signal at the watchdog input and resets the output if an abnormality is found.
• Reset Function：The reset output is related to the voltage on the delay capacitor. When the voltage on the delay capacitor is higher than a certain threshold, the reset output is in a high state. When the output voltage is lower than the reset threshold, the delay capacitor discharges rapidly and the reset output is set to a low level.
• Protection Functions：It has integrated overvoltage protection, overtemperature protection and reverse polarity protection, which can protect the chip from being damaged by overvoltage, overheating and reverse connection of power supply.
