• High – performance Processing Capability: It contains six StarCore® SC3850 DSP subsystems, which can provide a processing capacity of up to 48 GMACs at 1 GHz, enabling efficient processing of complex digital signals. It is suitable for applications such as WCDMA, TD – SCDMA, 3G – LTE, and WiMAX base stations that require high – bandwidth and high – computational – power signal processing.
• Rich Peripheral Interfaces: It is equipped with multiple communication and processing subsystems, including two RGMII ports, a 10 – port SGMII switch, and one UART port, which can be used for Ethernet communication and serial communication. In addition, it supports high – speed serial interface multiplexing, including two serial RapidIO, two SGMII, PCI Express (only for MSC8157), and up to six common public radio interfaces, facilitating connection to various external devices and systems.
• On – chip Memory and Controller: It integrates 1 GB of 1333 Mbit/s data rate DDR3 memory with an on – board controller, providing a large – capacity and high – speed memory space for data storage and processing, which helps to improve the overall performance of the system.
• Multi – accelerator Platform Engine: It is equipped with a multi – accelerator platform engine (MAPLE – B2) with up to 8 special – purpose processing engines. These engines can operate in parallel with the cores and are dedicated to communication processing functions such as uplink/downlink, equalization, turbo/Viterbi encoding/decoding, and CRC insertion, providing dedicated support for MIMO, MMSE, IRC, and ML equalization schemes, as well as matrix operations and other special processing algorithms.
