1. A New Benchmark for Smart Manufacturing
The entire production process in the factory is fully automated, with robots and artificial intelligence integrated into every manufacturing link.

Located in the Beijing Yizhuang Economic and Technological Development Zone, the factory covers an area of 718,000 square meters with a total investment of 5.5 billion yuan. It is one of the world’s most comprehensive automobile manufacturing bases and also an innovation hub integrating design, engineering, manufacturing and user experience. The factory houses six specialized workshops—die-casting, stamping, body-in-white, painting, final assembly and battery production—and is equipped with over 600 collaborative robots. From raw material warehousing to finished vehicle roll-off, all key processes are controlled by automated systems. Autonomous mobile robots handle parts delivery across the factory, while vision-guided robots work with connection systems to completely eliminate human errors.
A new Xiaomi SU7 rolls off the production line every 76 seconds, with the vehicle assembly accuracy reaching ±0.5 millimeters. The quality control process adopts 100% automated inspection: X-ray systems scan die-cast components, generating 28 high-definition images for each part for analysis; lidar sensors verify dimensions with an accuracy of ±0.05 millimeters; and ultraviolet testing technology inspects the paint surface quality.
2. Test Ride Experience of Xiaomi SU7
The highlight of the day’s event was the test ride of the Xiaomi SU7. On the factory’s professional test track featuring 18 different road conditions, the Xiaomi SU7 accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.97 seconds. Its performance matches that of the world’s top supercars, allowing the students on the test ride to directly feel the vehicle’s powerful thrust.
3. Layout of the “Human-Vehicle-Home Full Ecosystem”
Beyond the automobile manufacturing process, the students also learned about Xiaomi’s development vision of building a “human-vehicle-home full ecosystem”. The factory campus is equipped with product exhibition halls, delivery centers and technology exhibition areas, which collectively showcase Xiaomi’s blueprint for the future of intelligent connected living.
4. Feedback from the Visit
The students maintained high enthusiasm throughout the visit. Many expressed strong interest in future visits to technology and innovation factories, recognizing the value of witnessing advanced manufacturing firsthand. For international students studying business and economics, this visit provided practical references for understanding how technology reshapes the global industrial landscape.
