- Signal Isolation Function
The core function of the optocoupler 2GH302 is to achieve signal isolation. It can electrically isolate the input signal terminal from the output signal terminal. For example, in a complex electronic system that includes digital circuits and analog circuits, the signals in the digital circuit part may be subject to noise interference, or the high-voltage pulses in the digital circuit may cause damage to the analog circuit. The 2GH302 transmits signals by using light signals as the medium. It converts electrical signals into light signals on the input side, the light signals are transmitted to the output side through the internal optical channel, and then the light signals are converted back into electrical signals, thus effectively isolating the input and output circuits, avoiding electrical interference and damage, and ensuring the stability and reliability of the system.
- Level Conversion Function
This optocoupler can also be used for level conversion. Between different electronic devices or circuit modules, the signal levels may not be consistent. For instance, the output signal level of a microcontroller is 3.3V, while the external device connected to it requires a 5V signal level to work properly. The 2GH302 can output a higher level signal that meets the requirements when receiving a lower level signal at the input, thus realizing the matching conversion of levels and facilitating signal communication between circuits with different level requirements.
- Noise Suppression Function
Since the optocoupler 2GH302 uses light signals for transmission, it has a good ability to suppress electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI). In some industrial environments or communication equipment, there are a large number of electromagnetic noises, which may interfere with the normal transmission of signals. The 2GH302 can effectively block these external interfering noises from entering the output circuit and ensure the purity of the output signal. For example, in the control system of an industrial automation production line, motors, relays and other equipment will generate a large amount of electromagnetic interference. The 2GH302 can ensure that the control signals are stably transmitted in such a noisy environment and improve the anti-interference performance of the entire control system.
