SSD1963QL9 is a liquid – crystal display controller chip with the following functions:
-
Display Function
- Frame Buffer: It has a built – in 1215 – kilobyte frame buffer, which can support graphic content of up to 864×480×24 bits, enabling high – resolution display.
- Interface Support: It supports 18 – bit and 24 – bit RGB TFT universal interface panels as well as 8 – bit serial RGB interfaces, being compatible with a variety of display panels.
- Image Processing: It has hardware rotation functions of 0°, 90°, 180°, and 270°, and can also perform hardware – level display mirroring and windowing operations, which is convenient for image display and layout in different directions and regions. In addition, it has programmable brightness, contrast, and saturation control functions, which can adjust the display effect of the image according to needs.
- Backlight Control: It realizes dynamic backlight control (DBC) through PWM signals, which can save power and improve the display effect.
-
MCU Connectivity
- Data Reception: It is equipped with parallel MCU interfaces with bus widths of 8 – bit, 9 – bit, 16 – bit, 18 – bit, and 24 – bit, which can receive graphic data and commands from the MCU.
- Tearing Effect Signal: It provides a tearing effect signal to ensure the integrity and smoothness of image display.
-
Other Functions
- I/O Connectivity: It has 4 GPIO pins, which can be used for external device connection and control.
- Clock Generation: It has a built – in clock generator, which can provide the required clock signal for the chip.
- Power – Saving Mode: It supports a deep – sleep mode for power saving, which helps to reduce overall power consumption.
In terms of power supply, the core power supply (VDD_PLL and VDDD) is 1.2V±0.1V, and the LCD interface power supply (VDD_LCD) is 1.65V – 3.6V. The chip is packaged in TQFP128, which has good stability and reliability.
