The XA7Z020-1CLG484Q is an automotive – grade chip in the Zynq – 7000 series by Xilinx. It integrates a dual – core ARM® Cortex® – A9 MPCore™ with CoreSight™ technology, which can run at a maximum frequency of 667MHz. Each processor has a 32KB instruction L1 cache and a 32KB data L1 cache, and there is a shared 512KB L2 cache.
This chip also has 256KB of on – chip memory and supports external memories such as DDR3L, DDR3, DDR2, and LPDDR2. It supports 2x quad – SPI, NAND, and NOR for external static memory, and is equipped with 8 DMA channels, among which 4 are dedicated to programmable logic. In addition, it includes peripherals such as 2x UART, 2x CAN 2.0B, 2x I2C, 2x SPI, 4x 32 – bit GPIO, 2x USB 2.0 (OTG), and 2x tri – mode gigabit ethernet.
Based on the Artix – 7 FPGA architecture, the XA7Z020 – 1CLG484Q has 53,200 look – up tables (LUTs), 106,400 flip – flops, 560KB of extensible block RAM (140 36KB blocks), and 220 programmable DSP slices (18×25 MAC CS). The maximum number of I/O pins is 200, which can meet various connection requirements.
This chip supports dynamic power management, which helps to reduce overall system power consumption. It also has advanced security features, including AES and SHA – 256 for device security, which can protect the security and reliability of the system. In addition, it can work in the temperature range of – 40°C to 125°C (TJ), which is suitable for various harsh environments.
